What is semi permanent makeup?

Semi permanent makeup is a type of cosmetic tattooing that use pharmaceutical grade products needled into the skin. The effect is to given a natural makeup appearance and saves clients having to constantly apply makeup. This is semi permanent unlike a tattoo and will fade within approximately 18 months but can last longer is some clients

How does the treatment work?

You will first be assessed for your desired treatment either brows, lip liner, lip blush or eyeliner. Once a shape and colour has been decided and you have been numbed our SMPU artist will then begin working. We have a couple of options for brows either machine or manual (microblading) for everything else this will be with a tattoo machine.

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on the chosen treatment this can take between 1.5 to 3 hours.

Do I need a top-up?

We always recommend a top-up 6 weeks after your initial treatment as this is a two part process. We cannot top-up other practitioners work this would be classed as a new procedure. If you are looking for a top-up of work we have done for you this must be done within 6 months after that we can not do a top-up price.

What if I don’t like my SPMU after having it done?

It is possible to have it removed although we do find once clients get used to the SMPU they absolutely love it. After the initial procedure it does settle and become more natural, initially it can seem dark and more prominent

What is the healing process?

Please follow the aftercare we give you this depends on the individual Please don’t pick any scabs this will remove pigment

What type of SPMU brows can I have?

You will be able to choose from natural hair stroke, a more makeup like look (powder brows/ombre) or a combination of the above.

Eyebrow Procedures Waxing should be done at least 2 days prior to treatment and electrolysis no less than 5 days before the appointment. Do you have Botox? You will have to wait 2 weeks after your botox procedure before you have permanent makeup brows. Lip Procedures Any waxing or bleaching treatments should not be carried out at least 2 weeks before or following your permanent cosmetic treatment. If you suffer with cold sores a preventative treatment will be given. Eyeliner Procedures Do not wear any eyelash extensions prior to arrival. Any eyelash tinting or perming should be carried out at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Do not wear contact lenses during or right after your treatment.
