What is Glutathione?

It is a substance made from the amino acids glycine, cysteine and glutamic acid. It is produced in the liver and involved in tissue building and repair, making the bodies chemicals and proteins and in immune system function. Glutathione can serve as a shield to block the 1000s of attacks each cell in our body endures on a daily basis. This protein never stops defending. Without it cells break down and eventually die.

Where does Glutathione come from?

The body naturally produces this protein in the liquid component of cells known as cytosol. It is then pumped into mitochondria where it begins to protect against oxidative stress. It can also come from foods we eat.
