What is a thread lift?

A thread lift is where temporary sutures are used to produce a visible but subtle lift in the skin as an alternative to a surgical face lift. Instead of removing loose skin surgically it is pulled back slightly using lifting threads and therefore lifting and tightening the face/body.

What are the advantages of a thread lift over a face lift?

There is less recovery time as this is non surgical. As well as this the results get better for up to 6 months following treatment as collagen and tissue fibers build around the threads creating more of a lift/better rejuvenation.

How is the thread lift done?

For our lifting threads/full face and body lifts local anaesthetic is first applied to the area to be treated. Once numbed a small insertion point is created to then insert the threads using a blunt cannula. No pain should be felt but you may feel some pushing as if you were at the dentist.

Do you use any other threads than lifting threads?

Yes we can also use small Mono/screw threads which can be used to tighten as well as stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. They are also useful for scar treatment. These threads give an initial subtle result and give a final result in 3-6 months

How many treatments will I need?

You may need several treatments to achieve the desired look but we will discuss this with you at consultation and the pricing. Most people see a great result with one treatment How long does it last? The thread lift can last up to 3 years with the quality of threads we use

Are there any complications associated with a thread lift?

Bruising Swelling around the site Infection – please keep the area clean and no makeup at appointment of following until sites heal over Bleeding – please refrain from alcohol, blood thinners and anti-inflammatory medications
