What is vitamin C?

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient in our diet. It has many important functions in our bodys immune system including: Wound healing Preventing damage to cells Building collagen Producing chemical messengers called neurotransmitters

How is Vitamin C administered?

We tend to give this Intramuscular but can also give via an infusion if requested see IV drips.

Are there any side effects to vitamin C?

Minimal side effects if given in the correct dose. It has a low toxicity level so no risk of damaging organs and any excess is excreted in the urine. Too high doses could cause stomach upset or kidney stones but this would not be given in high doses.
